I really love this poem. As I read it I noticed it reminded me of a rap. Just the cadence of it. I Can see this being performed on stage. It is a very powerful piece. Thank you for sharing

Loved this Senyai especially regarding our emotions. So true our emotions seemed like oceans in our youth and now, seriously just puddles. Really enjoyed the last line, up to our ears and sinking!!!

I follow the trails, signs and vague road maps. Wearing only flimsy flip flops on my feet; I wade through murky waters and dead end at a mud puddle. Finally, "guess what" love is the answer. Love it. di

Delightfully constructed rhymed and metred couplets. Your thesis clearly stated with the gentle motif and aging desire.
Love this very much, Senyai. It reads so naturally. :))

This is both sweet and sad too in a way. It is nice and wonder to be able to share the memories of the glory days spent together when a couple was young and full fire and desire. And when the body is no longer able, you still have yesterday and the slow warmth of love.

Hi Lance,
Wow, this is such a nice review and thoughts. You are so right, but not a sad thing really getting older?remember seasoned and aged wine is best :))
Your thoughts were truly stellar. Thank you.

I'm not what many would consider to be old (hell, I just got out of my teen years) and even I can relate to this. Masterfully put, the imagery in this is astounding. I actually expected it to be a bit more melancholy and was surprised to realize it was sweet and beautiful. Gives me the warm fuzzies. Thank you for sharing.

' Where Is My Desire ? ' , is an extremely well-written and delightfully descriptive piece. Penned with craft and skill. This talented poet's work was a pleasure to both read and review. I look forward to seeing your next post.

I love this, and I can relate so well to what you have written in this rhyming poem! The beautiful goldenrods in bloom are a wonderful gift from heaven! I love the choice of rhymes and the choice of phrases speaking on aging! I am 67 years young as they say! Old enough to know better and young enough to still care!
Desires are still with me and I am grateful for this! I still have it when I want it, though the works aren't as spectacular anymore!
Have a sensual day,
Jesse

You have a delicious use of words which adds to the feel and flow of your words. My favorite line is "when our emotions were oceans, now are little muddle puddles". It shows how we change when we age. Excellent rhyming of words that also adds a musical feel to your words.
