Fortunately the readers know her sister isn't dead- but unfortunately Allie doesn't and the shock and grief will be horrendous. I can already see lots of twists and turns before they solve this one - and it's unlikely to be pretty! Great writing. Always enjoyable to read.

Seems like I haven't seen your name in a day or two. But that could be my memory that isn't what it used to be not so long ago. LOL. But it's good to see your story today. :-)

Hi Carol, It's getting worse by the minute, and how they are going to break the new to Allie is a tough one, indeed. I can understand why a shot of whiskey in the coffee may be needed. I'm getting more and more into the story. I really like it. Well done. Ulla:)))

Tears are going to flow again, I can see, Carol. Poor Allie, and Garth having to tell her. You are doing a good job of keeping our interest. Well done.

I hope I can make the reader see and feel how difficult it is for Garth to be the one to tell Allie about Jaz. Thanks for reading.

You certainly succeeded! 😀

So far, we can imagine what things will have to happen and the anticipation is unsettling. There are so many moving parts, but I have become familiar with your writing style and know you will have a few unexpected surprises for us to keep us on our toes. Things are never cut and dry, so I'll sit back and enjoy the ride. This was a great continuing introductory episode.

I can tell this is going to be another very exciting book. You always keep adding more elements to the mystery as you go along. I'm sure Garth would be really dreading what he has to relate to Allie. I'm glad it isn't her sister that is dead but will she know the difference. What will the tattoo tell her? She might not know if her sister had a tattoo since she's not seen her for a while.

Thanks, Beth. I am hoping Garth will be able to pick up the pieces and get Allie moving forward again, but one never knows how some will react. I am thrilled you are enjoying the story.

Devastating. Brilliant narration--intense dialog is spot-on for the dreadful circumstances--as always, you leave us tantalized for the next--I shudder to contemplate Allie's reaction. Fine work!

I've just finished writing Allie and Garth's conversation and hope I did it justice. Going to read it over again and make sure it comes across with the emotions I intended. Thank you so much for your thoughts and the review. Smiles, Carol

I like this story an I like seeing this part of Garth.
"Sorry, Garth. I wish I'd had better news for you." Ortiz shook his head. (you can leave off 'for you' for a tighter sentence.)

Fixed the suggestions!
The next chapter has me scared because I hope everyone will see another side of Garth... It's going to rip him apart to tell Allie the terrible news.
