I almost feel like I'm a part of the Katherine and Gabriel mixed family, enjoying the pancakes and later the chile dogs. That is because of your writing, Barbara.

so maybe the Indian Jones series or the Star Wars series. [Would she know it's Indiana Jones?]

What chapter, I like how your are telling us that Garbiel getting are doing things together and how nice that Garbiel is getting interest about Katerine four boys. From what I read see that Garbiel is getting to make love with Katerine. But that idea is frizzled out, because is taking of to see his wife and his children for awhile.

When a chapter is this good, we don't notice the length, Barbara. It's a beautiful expression of family time and the love that is shared by all of them, even if not spoken much about.
Enjoy your time away with your family. My time with mine in August gave me a much needed boost.

-The breakfast scene was excellent,

boy had something sincere and
caring to either show or tell Gabe,
