This is a lovely tribute for crzypntr, Helen. It reveals your sensitivity to his writings that were posted here on site. I did not know him either, but the support he is being given is a wonderful thing that will surely be cherished by his family. xoxo

Thank you, Janet. I agree that it's important to show the support and we're all related through the Lord and through poetry.

Helen,
You have penned an excellent tribute to one of our very own.
I did not have the pleasure of knowing this young man and fellow poet.
Roy Owens shared the excellent work August was doing in His Church Ministry and helping those in need with his own money. The name of the ministry is "Carpenters for Christ."
Based on what Roy shared, I have written a poem but have not posted it yet.
You did an exceptional job in penning this beautiful poem.
Hugs...Portia

Thank you so much, Portia! I appreciate you sharing what Roy shared about August's ministry. He didn't mention much of that in his poetry.

I did not know him either...until I saw how loved he is and read his work. Some very fine writers slip through our cracks and we never know. You have honored him wonderfully here and I know he is smiling down on us.

I know. In this site, you have to be posting frequently and reviewing A LOT to get to know people. I guess he didn't have time to review often. There are many great poets here.
Thanks for reviewing, Sherry!

You've pointed out that he left us his legacy of wonderful poetry that was written from his heart. How sad that we've lost another FS friend, but I bet they are sharing their talents in Heaven.

This is a lovely tribute to one of our FS members who has passed. I have not interacted with him either, but I've enjoyed reading the tributes that writers have posted, and I hope his family knows how much he is appreciated. Blessings. Carol

This is very nice. I did not know him either, but--as writers do, I have been reading his poetry since I've learned of his passing and so mourn a member of our writer's family. I hope Amber, his daughter, finds some solace is this tribute book to August. He is gone too Silk his words will live on forever!
