I had a firm arrangement with friend and fellow partner in our mutual family gospel touring music and drama group, things went well for a few years, touring and performing churches, outreaches, recording, but after a few difficult weeks, he upped and left suddenly taking his family and key musicians with him, leaving me with important engagements for six months hence, but with God's help we completed them, but I felt betrayed, it took me a long time to recover, but now I would never partner with anyone again. I know what it's like, I had a similar problem with mothers of kids in a children's music album I wanted to promote. People are difficult, my writing abilities remain, that's why I'm now a soloist. I can relate most profoundly Carol. Beautifully done, blessings Roy

Yes, it's been very hard for him to take because he doesn't want to come out and say it's her fault because he's not a point yur finger kind of guy...... but she sure isn't helping him out.

I don't know how people can do that to other people. They must know the damage and hurt they cause...or maybe they are so self absorbed that they don't see it. So sorry you went through it too.

I will keep Matthew and his film as well as you in my prayers. I've had some blows in my life that looked like the end of dream but always something better was in the works, and I never would have chosen that it work out differently. Things that come with sweat and tears make us stronger.

I'm so sorry to hear about this new wrinkle in this filmmaking journey. But it's just a little bump from the Lord's vantage point. Perhaps this is the time that the right actress will show up? Can't you just hire another actress to do the part? I think that person deserves to be fired and never be asked to work in Matt's films again. Sorry. I don't think that's professional behavior. I even know another young Christian actress...!

This sucks! Meaning, the situation--even if it were true, an actor's commitment to a film impacting dozens of people and costing $$$$$$$$$$ trumps illness of a cousin. Heartrending for Matthew--ironic God hasn't come through, given the theme.

I'm so sorry about Matt's difficulties, and yours. But when we count on people there is always a good chance that at least a few will let us down, at some point. As far as I'm concerned, there isn't anyone who can't be replaced, and many times with a person who is better and more dependable. Even if that person is footing part of the bills, I'm betting there is someone else willing to invest in spreading God's word. Maybe it's time to find those new people, rather being held hostage by someone who thinks they are irreplaceable. Everyone is replaceable! Wishing this mother an son duo the best! And I have confidence your plans will overcome.

This is a terribly sad story, Carol. Obviously there is something more going on with his "friend and co-partner" neither of which she is acting like at the moment. She should know what this dream means to him. He needs to replace her, but I know it will be hard for him. Certainly my prayers go out to him and to you. Hugs.
