The dance was spectacular and quite bold of Gabriel to put Katherine one the spot. But it could have been a lot worse if the girls had chosen the dance and outfits. LOL

Jordan getting hurt is a tough pill to swallow. As a mother, of course, Katherine is horrified, but having to worry about how her in-laws will twist the situation is compounding her grief. Hope he's okay...it's a rough sport.

Always, Carol

I think the boys got off easy in the dance. Our principal made the boys wear tutus in their dances. I do think it would be best if Katherine didn't follow Gabe so closely. Too bad about Jordan's injury. If he didn't get up, it must be pretty serious. Something else for Katherine to worry about. We'll see if the in-laws quickly gather around and show their concern. Football is a dangerous game, so I hope he will be all right. That certainly adds to the suspense in the story and adds to Katherine's woes. judi

Charming humor, rich dialog. Compelling finale--quite the cliffhanger!

Sugg: omit the last line: Tears streamed down her cheeks.

Gabriel turned around and **his eyes met Katherine's, and then he faced the field.**

**I wonder what that was about**. Katherine held her breath. (What's giving her cause to wonder?)

Poor Jordan, the only thing one can do is hope, it happens all too frequently in Aussie football, now, if a player is concussed, he's out for for 3-4 weeks. So Gabriel is a bit tricky dicky with Katherine and is not playing fair, heh, heh, well done, blessings Roy

Oh no! This can not be good by any measure. Any possible thing that paints Katherine in a negative light only adds fuel to her in-laws quest to gain custody of her boys.

-This was such a fun chapter, barbara,
but what a shock at the end.
-Poor Katherine has so much on her
place, and now Jordan is hurt in the game.
-I'm surprised she didn't go down on the field,
but that would have probably
caused too much commotion.
-Backtracking, the opening sequences
were fun and light hearted as Gabe
organized the line dance. It sounds
like it would have been fun.
-Were Katherine and the girls
sitting in the bottom row? I was
wondering how Gabe could reach
out his hand to her.
-I liked the artwork, too.
-A good chapter.

The pep rally was outside; I had forgotten about those kind. All I could picture is the ones in the gym; that's why I asked.

This was a good "joining" chapter. A good read of a different sort. I know nothing about American football hehe. Just one possible miss?? "I need (to)go."

So typical. Brings back memories of my day in high school--much more modern today but the same. Make the grades, and you can play--a good one, Barb.

An interesting episode. I hope Jordan is not too badly injured but guess we will have to wait for the next chapter. When I was in High School, every time I went to a football game, someone got hurt, so I quit going.
