I knew something wasn't just right, since it had seemed yesterday that I hasn't heard a word from you. But knowing myself, I kept telling myself that I was overreacting. I'm just glad everything worked out okay John is doing fine. Thanks for sharing.

Hi there, my friend... No, you weren't lucky enough to have me disappear for good. Life threw another curve ball my way but we managed to survive. Hurrah! John is good and our medicine cabinet is restocked. I missed the laughter....just so you know. Smiles, Carol

What an amazing testimony of God's grace and providence! Thank God for the expired epi-pen and the ambulance from the Byron FD. I can't remember what part of the country you live in; but that sure is country living! I've never been stung by a bee or a wasp, but I always found them scary.
I didn't know you had a special needs son. He sounds like a very nice person. I'm glad he made it through, and that he enjoyed the ambulance ride too!

Thank you Mary Kay...Johnny had a skull fracture at four months (his soft spot didn't close) and he is mentally challenged.... but he also is my strength and helper. I live near the Wisconsin/Illinois border.

Thanks so much for sharing, Carol. Johnny sounds like a real treasure. You share from your heart! And it sounds like you're in the "heart" of the country. God bless you, and Johnny!
Love, Mary Kay xoxo

I can't believe how many challenges you have been faced with, particularly in the last few years. If there's any hierarchy in heaven, you've earned a seat at the "above-and-beyond" table. I am so grateful that the rural areas (around the country) make mutual aid calls. They have saved many lives, including Johnny's. I'm glad it was seen as an adventure by him. :-) Don't regret moving from the city. Response time there could have been worse. Praise God from whom all blessings flow.

Yes, in town it could have been worse...but I lived three blocks from the hospital so response time would have been me driving. LOL This is where I am meant to be and I will stay here with Johnny. We have two new epi-pens and meds too! Smiles, Carol

Aaah. I see. Glad you are well-stocked now and I hope this event doesn't repeat itself.

Trouble seems to come in bunches. So happy to hear Johnny is doing better. It is no joke to be allergic to insect bites and I certainly understand living rural. Best wishes. Nancy:)

God is so awesome. I do understand. I am extremely allergic to almost every type of insect imaginable. Something as simple as a mosquito sends my body into an uproar. Unfortunately, my two youngest granddaughters have inherited this problem. I am glad things worked out. I will continue to pray.

Oh, Carol, you sure do have more than your share of challenges in your life! I think I might have missed something previous to this one. I didn't get to all my messages while I was away. I'm so happy to hear that you were blessed with good fortune in getting Johnny to the hospital in time, and he was able to return home with you. Bless you. Hugs.

Goodness, I would have panicked, I'm sure I would, but your calmness enabled you to do everything right, Carol! I'm so pleased John is alright now. His blood pressure was way, way, way too high! I bet you have some more of those epi-pens in your medical chest now. What a shock! Well done in getting the help in time. Yes, God is certainly looking down on you, my friend. Lots of love, Sandra xxx

You certainly were. I'm sure you'll never be without one again. :)) Sometimes it takes something like this to wake us up and get prepared. I'm just happy it had a happy ending. Love and hugs. xx

You must be exhausted and frazzled still. I will keep John in my prayers. You are an excellent storyteller. I like your crisp, clean style...no fluff or puffery I held my breath till the end and am happy for the good outcome. As usual - most excellent work!

Dear Carol, you've had your so many incidents for you to overcome, I completely sympathise. It would terrify me, but you've shown how calm you can remain under extreme pressure with someone you love, you are are amazing. Beautifully written and wonderfully shared, well done, blessings Roy

Thanks for sharing and hope all is well over there--sending blessings! Be well over there--bee allergies are sharing and those darn things seem to be hiding everywhere and nowhere at the same time.
