Hello, I love horror in general and your poem is pretty creepy so I like it. I used to write horror haiku with a fanstory member, Dean Kuch. It was fun. Good luck in the contest.

Good to hear from you as always! I can?t believe Dean Kuch has passed away. I went to his portfolio just yesterday and saw the note with a candle there. I really admired and enjoyed his wonderful scary poems. Miss him as I know you and all of FanStory does.

I am glad you had time with such a sweet man and wrote horror haiku with him. He was one of a kind, so helpful and funny.

I am with you, I had never heard of this H. P. Lovecraft but briefly in high school English class. But my son and his friends had sparked an interest in him as they got a kick out of his horror tales. It?s weird being ?educated? by your children, lol.

I thought I?d trot out old Cthulhu for my supernatural contest entry.

Wow!!!!Incredible poem. So dark and horrifying. I love the notes at the end that provide context and explanation for the poem. DArker than your usual poems and I liked it, being one given to living in the darker places of life. Well done.

Oh, thank you, sir! Yes, Cthulhu is horrifying. H.P. Lovecraft can be a bit depressing if you have a steady diet of his material. But I have to hand it to the man for creating a whole pantheon of Old Ones waiting to take back creation again. Until then, they sleep.

The poem follows the contest requirements, which prove to be intricate, none the less. I find the story to be intricate too;-()
The author executes his theme skillfully and vividly. The visual presentation is attention grabbing, and capable of inducing nightmares, in my frail frame of reference.
