Another dramatic and interesting chapter. I have had a few Colonoscopies including the one last time with a Gastroscopy when the Coeliac Disease was diagnosed. Good work, no spags.

You did a great job, Beth, with interesting and informative events in your family's life. They all keep you and your husband pretty busy, but I know how much you love them all. The trip to be with the big dog was a bit funny and scary too, with it snarling. I like the way you ended with what could be a cliff hanger. I agree about the Clinton's and the way they ran the WH. I can hardly wait to find out what's next.
Respectfully, Jan

Good job, Beth!
It's so sad when we experience something personal but for some reason when it's one of our children, it seems double-fold. Heartbreak isn't anything we can mend for them, but we sure can share their pain.
Thanks for sharing the memories....

Thank you, Carol. I appreciate the review. I guess mothers are destined to suffer everything that happens to their children. We all seem to do it.

I am sorry for Connie too. I do understand when your children hurt so do you. Thank you for sharing.
Many people seemed to dislike her for being so aggressive. (Maybe it had nothing to do with her being aggressive, but being a really horrible liar and cheat and mean.)

There are several stories here and to me, they attest to human resilience and love and commitment and gratitude for life and living. You stories are real and therefore interesting as well as sometimes inspirational.

Captivating, as always--you draw me right in--I feel as if I know everyone in the family by now--heartrending re Lenny--wonder what happened later in his life--did she find out? Excellent chapter.

Thank you Elizabeth for the review and comments. Lenny married a girl but it didn't last. She was extremely jealous of Connie although Connie and Lenny stayed away from each other. The last we heard he'd moved to another state. I hope he eventually found what he was looking for.
Lenny's dad died of aids. I suspect his marriage to his second wife might have been a sham. They seemed an oddly matched couple.

I resonate completely with you in this chapter. Whenever one of my sons experienced heartbreak, I did as well. That was the part I really didn't feel right about. Why did I care so much? Who knew. So, you see we all go through much the same pain. It never ends.

Thank you so much Ralf. I think we are so wrapped up in our children's lives that it hurts us almost as much as it does them. I think that is build into a mother.

Fear of a relationship break up seems to be pretty normal, but it has to be a resolve, my parents were divorced, three of my siblings likewise, but if one makes it option less that makes it easier, both in agreement. With God's help. Of course some cases, in repeated physical and mental abuse it's different. Beautifully written Beth, blessings Roy
Typo : We didn't vote (of) him, for? 2: Afraid ((they) their relationship. That?

Hi Beth, I just so love to follow this story of your family. I so feel for your husband. I suffer from white coat syndrome. Nobody can go near me for measuring my blood pressure. Only I can do it in private. But the doctors here in Spain do recognise it.
So now there is more heartache coming your childrens' way. Oh dear. Ulla:)))

Thank you Ulla, I really appreciate you continuing to read my story. I'm so glad you like it. I have the white coat syndrome too. I think doctors are too quick to put people on BP medicine based on false reading and then you can't get off of it.
