Another great chapter to start off my week in Fantasy Land; although, every chapter of your stories are filled with real and believable, everyday, life. Thanks for sharing.

Your story is progressing so well, Barbara, the tension is rising, and I'm hoping that the former in-laws don't get a another dime out of the will. They are a couple of nasty people. That's why they had those boarding school pamphlets at their home. Get the boys, put them in boarding school, spend all their money. Hmm, not nice. This was a really good chapter, Barbara, it had a bit of everything in it. Well done! :)) Sandra xx

Hello Barbara.Wilkey,
Nice piece in continuation having captivating flow throughout from the beginning to the end.
The story is moving forward in an interesting way.
Gabriel and Katherine's conversation is particularly noteworthy.

I do hope these in-laws are not planning to take the children and then get to gain the inheritance because the children have some sort of "accident". Or worse that they are planning to get rid of Katherine first, so the children will be taken over by the grandparents!!
You are writing it so well. Always interesting!

It looks as if you have joined this couple together for now despite former inlaw problems. I was wondering about Frosty the snowman. He seems to be lurking, but where? Wedding bells in the distance. Good one Barb

-This is a very good chapter, barbara.
-It flows well and fills us in on
a few different situations.
-I like the back and forth between
Gabe and Katherine, and how
the boys are accepting him,
and Katherine is warming up, too.
-It sounds like Katherine's in-laws
are real characters! They went
through all of that money
in a short period of time.
-They sound like the sort
that thinks the world owes
them everything.
-I am glad the lawyer told
her that her husband had
really good lawyers!
-Well done.

Let's hope the lawyer knew what he was talking about. Thank you for the kind review.

You are welcome. I hope he does, too, but I have a feeling it will be more complicated:):)

This is a great installment. Now we see why the in-laws are acting squirrely. I do not see any room for improvement. I look forward to the next installment.

I don't know how grandparents would want to rifle their grandchildren's estate nor be any part of anything like that, my grandchildren are the world to me, and anything that brings them joy. So apart from Frost hating here, she's up against her in laws too. Beautifully written Barbara, blessings Roy

For some reason the in-laws are not nice people. I have actually seen it and don't understand it.

Me neither

I only have one question. It may not even need attention. But the reader has no way of knowing that the conversation with the lawyer was on speakerphone until the conversation was over and you wrote: Personally, I believe I would have added at the beginning of her conversation with the lawyer that she put her cellphone on speaker. Just a thought.
Another well-written chapter. I especially liked Katherine's line when Gabriel asked her what he needs to do to win over the lady, "Everything you're already doing and remain patient."]
Their relationship when it's thoroughly established will be rock solid!

You're right about the speaker phone. I hadn't thought of it. I will make that correction. Thank you.
