My Jesus knows every person's heart and He knows if a person is reborn in the spirit. One cannot fake their being reborn and your name will not appear in the Book of Life.

Blessings Patty and thank you for your excellent review and rating. I have added this to my author's notes to hopefully, clarify some questions others had about this poem. the SUN represents The SON, Jesus Christ himself, seen with new spiritually awakened eyes and the CAT represents any religion; CATechism, philosophy or belief that does not recognize and teach the need, as Jesus said, to be born again in the spirit to be able to see the Kingdom of God. The CAT represents the natural thought and reason we are all born with V's the spirit led, life of faith, that comes by being born again in the spirit. The natural leads to eternal sleep while the spiritual new birth leads to eternal life.

A nice poem about how the spirit and nature have a symbiotic relationship. It's interesting what you say about being born again and how we must do this to be able to move forward on this journey of the spirit. Best of luck in the contest. :)

Hi,
Absolutely beautiful poem that is so utterly different and astute in the perspective that I found it amazing.
The wind personified here is actively taking part in the author's conversation as it puffs and gales about the room. Asking, a riddle for itself to ponder an answer.
But as the sun comes up, there is creation gleaming in glistening dewy wonder. A birth, the wind is taking credit for.
Perfect!

Oh yes, Frank ? thank you much for the clarification but your perfect words let me feel this as I read it all. I felt the Sun was the Son and the glistening dew was reminiscent of the afterbirth of a real birth, the only aspect I wasn?t aware of was the double meaning of the Cat ? but felt like the significance of the Cat was of greater importance than just a pet cat, but I love cats so I loved the touch of the Cat as the author?s pillow. The wind puffing about the room posing the questions was so original!
A well deserved win for sure ❤️

Thank you so much for your excellent review and rating. I couldn't help but notice your profile image. Someone in a wheelchair, the natural, casting a spiritual shadow of what one used to be or aspires to be in their heart. That is somewhat similar to what I thought to convey through this poem. Thank you for explaining the symbolism and the meaning behind it. I find the subject very fascinating.

Woah, this was so lyrical... I love how it flows and I imagined it being recited in a poetry slam...great imagery, great rhyme scheme, and I enjoyed how some stanzas were shorter/longer than others. Great piece! I actually read it a second and third time...
