A very well-written four-line poem about the pandemic that keeps us all apart with no kisses or hugs to ensure our loved ones we still care about them, all to prevent the spread of the virus that spreads anyway.

I really like the neutral, gray color scheme and picture you chose for this piece. It really signifies the dark loneliness that can come from missing human interaction

Hi dear friend. Isn't it crazy? I cannot tell you how badly it makes me feel each and every day since we have been deprived from hugging the grandkids. Thank god I have a wife to love and be loved by. I do believe I would go nuts if I didn't. Well done. Take care. Bob

You've offered your readers a well-crafted poem meeting the requirement of the four-line rhyming work and going a step further to begin each line with the same letter.you also touched on a sad theme from this past year, the lack of human contact. Good luck in the contest.

Dear JLR, thank ' Unsplash.com ' for even allowing artists to invent such fanciful images as the one you have posted with this poem. Empathizing with the third line of this poignant post, and making it All come together.

Oh, I understand what you mean. I only see my grandchildren on video and the last time I saw them briefly from the porch, I couldn't give them the hugs I normally could give. You expressed it well for all of us.
Best wishes in the contest!

It is unfortunate that we cannot hug each other anymore and I enjoyed the alliteration in your short poem which gave it some resonance, much enjoyed, love Dolly x

Hugs and kisses make the world go around. Nowadays they are hampered with social distancing. The good old days are gone--hopefully only temporarily.

I feel you, this poem resonates with many I'm sure. While I still have daughters at home I can hug, I have one daughter who just became an RN who's under quarantine for the second time. Patients on her hospital floor keep getting covid, so we can't see her. It's heartbreaking, your poem hit home with me, best of luck in the contest.

I am so sorry for you and her and all the family! I am sending the highest and best in prayers for the whole family to use as each person sees fit. I have so much respect for those front line people ( I was one such person in the late 60's and early 70's).

Hello JLR, four really good lines. Good alliteration with the letter W and good mono-rhyme throughout. A clever write, making a good job of what was required of you. Good Luck in the contest. Regards Dorothy x
