You have written a very strong and compelling verse about your daughter and if this is all true about her she will survive. As parents, we want what we think is best for our children but they make their own choices and the best we can do is support them in these choices. It truly hurts at times and believe me I know. Hang in there Mom.

At the beginning of my elder daughter's marriage, I felt like that, being her dad, and her leaving the protection of her home, although her husband wasn't abusive, but the were both students, although my daughter was able to teach musical instrumental teaching, but that's another story, there marriage is as solid as a rock now. Could it be due to my prayers. I think it might, keep praying, my daughter is like yours, well done, blessings Roy

Dear Mystery Writer,

This was a very sensitive and special prayer for someone dear to you -- I can't imagine what I would be feeling if I couldn't be sure about my daughter's safety and happiness. There's an old saying that I love and repeat all the time:

"A mother is only as happy as her least happy child." --> that is sooooo true.

Notes:
1.) bending without breaking in the most wicked of win(d)s...

2.) Continuing to grow in (r)ocky soil or clay.

This makes a nice submission for the contest. Thanks and good luck!

Thank you for your compassionate response to the contents of my entry. Thank you also for pointing out the typographical error's. I did not catch those. And, surely, that quote is 100% true. From one mom to another, hugs.
