I remember those days as a college student and trying to find rides home for the various holidays. It was always an adventure. I enjoy reading your memoirs. Thank you for sharing.

Hi Beth, you just tell and us this so very well. All the machinations of having a big family and make it all work. I do admire you all. I also, as you know, so enjoy reading along. Ulla:)))

Dear Beth, It is truly fascinating to watch young people at the age that your three older were, exploring career possibilities and trying to determine where their talents really lay, and most importantly if those talents can be used in a career.
I can hardly wait until you get to the end of the story, to find out what they finally selected as their initial career move.

Thank you so much for the review and comments. Yes this was a time we were concerned about them going for something that would lead to a career. When I was in college I wasn't sure where I was headed either.

Hello BethShelby
What a nice way of telling and place in your memory of your daughters and son Changing Colleges. I recall two of my young ones went to a college, and both of them didn't like the college and found another college to their liking.

Thank you Gert. My oldest daughter didn't really want to change but this one had better choices and was more convenient for us.

As always, captivating. Delightful dry humor re the stolen paper fiasco and the demented teacher casting out demons. (The children found that disturbing? Really???!!!!) What careers did the kids end up in? Like Christi, I tried subbing and couldn't control the kids--it was HELL.
One of them listed the birth of Christ [SEMICOLON] I hadn't realized cypress trees live that long.
people who would be going to collage [college]

Thank you for the review. I did practice teaching and couldn't control the kids. That is why I didn't become an art teacher. Should I reveal the careers. hmm. Okay, Carol-nurse, Don-chiropractor, Christi-massage therapist Connie-Interior Designer.

Temptation will always come our way, and how we respond will test our faith particularly, and that is how we negotiate our path in life as to what direction we will walk. I'm amazed you can remember all this detail, but then Elaine is better than I am at that, well done Beth, great write, blessings Roy
