Hello JLR, this is well written and you met the club challenge well. You have included the various sources of light that guide our paths. How often do we enjoy those in the sky, when bright city lights dim the view. I enjoyed your thoughtful poem. Regards Dorothy x

It sounds as if the speaker in this poem has spent many a night watching light come and go. Favorite lines: backdrop of starlight
while the new day's rays of daylight
cover over the last of near phosphorescence
of the moonlight glow.
I think I might add a hyphen between 'near' and 'phosphorescence' to show that the phosphorescence is nearly complete and not just close by.

I really liked the middle and ending. Great imagery and not over done with adjectives, as first thought it might be. Good alliteration in parts.
This is on borders of a six, only we have too few, but know this is worth.

The chirping of the birds as they awaken and seek the insects that they capture to feed either themselves or their offspring. That is a perfect time to give thanks for the breath of life and all the blessings that come with it.
