A great Naani in which
you have described the
feeling that every painter,
every writer, every artist
finds themselves at one
time or another, looking
at a blank page, a blank
canvas, the gleam of artistic
brilliance lost for a short
period of time.
Well done

I must be a glutton for punishment. First I start to paint and now poetry. Now I have come to understand that "blank". Thank you for your very kind review. Much appreciated, Sue

This is about creation and a metaphor for all types of art. Excellent job describing the creation process of art and poetry

This is a very good naani poem you have penned. You seem to have met the requirements. You used very good wording and great imagery. Good luck. Teri

Teri, thank you so much for your very kind words and review! My first naani. It's what I love about this site; the contests introduce us to so many new forms. Much appreciated, Sue

I had to have a quick look at what makes up a naani poem just to make sure your awake! Ha ha, sorry! You did a great job friend, I liked your words A LOT, we have all been their in some way or another, it's just really hard to draw the genius out.

Oh, Hitch! You've got my back! So coooool! What I'm finding is that I really love the constraints of certain genres and I also love the free-verse. Two entirely different worlds! Thanks for making sure I was sober/awake. And glad you liked this work. Yours, Sue

You convey much with such a small amount of words. You, um, paint a picture of an artist, staring at blankness, waiting for something to come forth into the paintbrush. It is the burden of creative types everywhere. Nice job.

Very good, Sue; we've all been there more often than not. Then when we occasionally think we're being 'genius' no-one gets it! LOL. Best of luck in contest. Ray xx
