Excellent, easy to read, perfect rhyme, and holds a message or two for us all. Sometimes if instead of being frightened we just become little children and relax and join the fun. We could think better and stay in control.

I love how you created this entertaining story from a simple act of chewing gum and blowing a bubble. Craftily done as always! Great rhyming and rhythm accented by your use of strong words like chattered and bugging out. Well done!

Another gem for your children's book! This one could be a model for aspiring poets, with perfect meter and perfect rhyming. I loved it!

Oh, I wonder who this creature was. Sawyer's eyes are a popping just as if he's seeing this creature. It's good that they could become friends.

This is a very cute picture of Sawyer and his dad.

Great poem with a nice rhyme. I enjoyed reading it, Brooke.

Well done!

April

Another delightful poem, Brooke. A bit of a tall-tale, that's sure to delight young and old readers alike. The rhyming couplets of your quatrains and the iambic tetrameter gives the poem a bouncy feel, and adds to the fun of the words themselves. The message of including others, even when they seem a bit scary at first, is a good lesson too. Rose.

Hi Brooke,

I love the picture of Sawyer and his dad. Sawyer's expression on his face is priceless. Good alliteration and enjambments throughout, your rhyming couplets are effective, the flow is smooth and I love the theme. Well done....blessings, chey

I guess I never grew up, because
here I am reading your children's
poetry and I am fascinated with
the tale you spin in quatrain form
that jumps nimbly from word to next
rhyming line and never stops as I
eagerly await what lies at the bottom
of the screen.
Well done

Ok Brooke. You've got me grinning like a Jack-o-lantern. As if that pic of Sawyer wasn't enough to put a smile on anyone's face! Absolutely loved this so humorous poem. You're amazing with your ability to come up with these gems. They seem so effortless, but I know you put a lot of thought and care in them. This could easily be in a book of published children's poems, so a six.

Great little piece on conquering your fears; and isn't funny that those things we are afraid of in life, turn out to have the same fears and insecurities we all have. Great insightful work, nice job, Brooke. Best wishes, Bill
