Nicely done. You do not need to thank me for each review and fill up my reply box. I think I will fan you. I will not promise to review everything, but I do read everything.
Some is not to my taste, some need too much work still., and I do not have time to do a proper edit, and some I do not review because they do not review me. I like your stuff. Karen

How big are these imps...berry size so you could eat them? I cannot imagine being one of the garden keepers, that has to put up with a bug size object and who lives in a top drawer. I'd get the spray can....

LOL! Oh, yeah, just a few inches each -- but such a menace when they want to be... thank goodness for Sir Archibald! ;) :)
Comment from Mary Kay Bonfante
So the imps are actually working for the Groundskeeper (apparently under the strict eye of Sir Archie) and are miniature cartographers? This chapter had a lot more zany imp antics, with interesting imp-lications to imp-art to the readers. Nicholas can barely contain his amusement, and his young readers will completely identify with him.
You close the chapter with a great question.

LOL! We'll have to wait and see what their job actually is.... but it'll be magical - I promise! ;) Yvette

It's good to see Nick back and all his "helpers" although we have yet to see his helpers actually be of help. The characters are engaging and so fun to read about. You have created a great setting for these fantastic creatures.

I've been a bad girl and been working on another novel. I keep meaning to get another Piper chapter down, but this other story just won't stop. I'm up to chapter thirty-five today. Been about 17 days since I started writing it so I figure go with it while the thoughts are fresh.
Piper is still calling though, just taking a short break.

So the imps seem to be in charge of the maps for the garden, and Sir Archie is in charge of the imps. This is a interesting way to start your world-building for the garden creatures.
Enjoyed.

How fun it is to work with an armadillo, a gnome and rosebush and imps. I have to read read some previous chapters to get familiar with this book but it is a fun chapter.
Well done.

Thanx for stopping in on this one, Lisa -- Nicholas is always a fun 'adventure' for me! :) Yvette

I'm glad to be back in the Garden again, too. And, I love the personality traits of imps in general, but yours in particular. I like the blueberry fetish.
Sounds like groundskeeper Nicholas is going to have all the help he can handle. I look forward to seeing where his "helpers" lead him.

Hey stranger!! So good to hear from you up here -- missed seeing that smiling face!! Sure hope this finds you well, my BBF...
And, now, wow!! Those stars are so welcome this morning with this 'dreariness' that seems to be hanging over things these days... trying really hard to push my pen and turn my back on some troubles that can't be fixed anyway - gotta say, it felt good to visit Nick and friends again so I look forward to more (still pushing, but I'm gonna get there!!). Sure hope you're doing well down there - think about you often and would love to maybe have lunch halfway some where if you're ever up to it...
You just be sure to take good care of you and know that it really is good to hear from you!! ;) Thanx BBF!! Yvette

The image of the 'Secret Garden Door' almost mirrors a picture I have hanging in my bathroom. I love the roses surrounding the door. These creatures in your story are truly imps and mischievemakers and seem to be working in a chaotic manner. It's like too many chef's spoiled the broth. Will they compliment each other or get in each other's way.
Nicholas is taking it all in.

One really wonders how this garden is going to be up-kept by these undisciplined characters :). Nicholas has his hands full.
I just love the scene of the inside of the office with the drawers and the papers and all of the creatures interacting with these props. Can see the berry purple stains on the papers from little paws/hands.
Reading this out loud shows how perfectly the sentence structure and choice of wording is for this book. Short, sweet, to-the-point sentences, composed with pithy words.
Nothing is extra or wasted here. Like that the word choices are intelligent and above grade level, stimulating and enlarging the growth and development of the reader's vocabulary.
Author is not "dumbing it down" for these readers. Kudos for that!
Interesting, humorous, educational read for all ages!
This story lends itself to lovely illustrations.
Well done!

Good afternoon Yvette
Oh, what a delightful idea you have here. A wonderful world where all that we view and delight in as we tend our gardens, have voices!
Your characters are vividly apparent and I love the way in which every little detail is most considered :)
So lovely.
kind regards
