Wow, this was haunting and reminded of the recent plane being blown up over Iran.

I could relate to this as I saw the Challenger explode as I was driving down the road to pick up my oldest from school. I pulled over and sat on the hood of my car, crying hysterically. I won't ever forget it. This stirred me to that thought today.

A winner for the contest and emotionally impacting.
Sending you my best today as always,
Sal xoxo

This was my first kyrielle... takes more patience than I usually have so it won't be on the top of repeats - LOL!! ;) :) Thanx for the wonderful review, my lady! ;) Yvette

Hello there! This is a lovely kyrielle you've penned, my friend.
The repetitive line was a great choice giving it more impact.
Good luck to you. ~Kerry

Dear Mystery Writer,

What a cool poem. *smile* I love the images I'm seeing here as I read. It can be interpreted as a spooky poem, yes, but it's such a neat thing. The rhyme and flow are perfect and the meter is superb. I think this is the best one I have read in the booth so far! Thanks and good luck!

I like the message of your poem, but it does not consistently rhyme. It flows well and your artwork choice enhances your message. I like that you added the whippoorwill bird to your story. It made it interesting. Best wishes!

A thoroughly enchanting and haunting read that sticks with me. Really good choice of art accompaniment. The sentence you crafted for the repeating one is dramatic and interesting.

This is not a good condition to be in. I only know one solution for an unstable mind. It's getting help from above. I was a child that was tortured and tormented in my mind. I thought that I was unloved, worthless, and that nobody wanted me around. Jesus came by and changed all of that. He changed me from a boy who couldn't look anyone in the face or want to be around them to someone with some confidence and self worth. I like the message of this and enjoyed reading this well written work. Well done!

It appears that you followed all the requirements for a kyrielle.

"The sky turned grey and fell today... What an ominous phrase to use as your phrase for repetition. Well chosen!

Your picture went great with your poem.

Best of luck in the contest.

Sounds more like a very detailed nightmare to me. I was intrigued by how you used the whippoorwill in this piece as a kind of Edgar Allan Poe styled demonic bird that is sounding your catastrophic fate. The image of the gray sky falling was also a great symbol because along with the bird it brings a wild amount of intensity to your piece. Well done.
