What a wonderful meshing of artwork and words. It has almost a religious feeling to it. I can see why it took second place in the contest. Congrats.

Last year I captured the sun , a red orange disc at dusk between a bunch of trees ..sadly the photo didn't capture the intensity of the sun.
This photo instead captures all the beauty of that moment ... a serene moment which your words suggest so effectively.
I love searching for eye catching pics but I still lack the skill to describe in so few words the emotions that such visions evoke in me.
I love this entry.

Wow. What can I say? Your words take my breath away. :) Not bad, Melissa. I wish I could express myself with a limited number of words. The picture gives your poem meaning. It is beautiful. This is a veery good entry for the 15 syllables Poem contest.

This is very good indeed. Quite often this shortform pieces, other than haiku and tanka, while sticking to the correct syllable count, utterly fail to be poetic. This one expresses what you wish to say very poetically, creating a abeautiful image in the mind of the reader. This could do well in the contest. I hope it does.

It's a little gem this fifteen syllable poem expressing the sheer beauty of this moment of the day when dusk falls and the world enters stillness mode - such a beautiful pic

A lovely, beautifully descriptive short poem, Melissa. You've chosen a perfect artwork for it as well. I'm sure this will be right up there in the judges' minds come time to choose a winner. Well done, Craig

A very cool and calming offering for the contest, Melissa -- you gather the reader up off the shoreline and soar into the breezes then gently embrace them as night falls... great job! :) ;) Thanx for sharing and best of luck in the contest! ;) Yvette
