Christine--What a special poem you have written. Your thoughts are sincere, and the format is musical and pleasant. Nice, easy reading with your rhyme. Lovely graphic. Well done!

Comment from Jeffrey L. Michaux
I love the powerful message conveyed in this poem that resonates from beginning to end. War is and always will be a terrible thing in spite of the reasons. The cost of lives lost is a high price, especially the children. You presented this well and I enjoyed reading it. Well done.

Comment from Sandra du Plessis
A very well-written poem. I don't think anyone would vote to have a war or become a victim of war. Unfortunately, it seems there are no hope that we will be spared the horrors of a full blown war.

First off this is a wonderful and challenging contest you are participating in. Second these are the kinds of questions that keep me up at night, can we fix it?
Have a great night!

This presentation is very peaceful. The reader really enjoyed the poem that is written with lots and lots of imagery and emotions. Liked the picture selection.

This is lovely, Christine. I would think everyone would agree with you. This stanza resonated with me:
"Life should be so precious a gift to us all
Not put on a war line to watch it just fall
We must cherish each day with love in our hearts
Do right by each other, and not tear apart."
The only thing the normal person wants is a tranquil life and to live it in peace. Marilyn

This was rather well done Christine. This was so very, very true, world peace is indeed needed if the world is going to survive. I liked the rhyme pattern and what the words said. The price of war is too much with the loss of lives. Thank you for sharing.

Comment from Henry King
I hear and feel what you wrote in this beautiful poetic plea. The rhythm and rhyme make this poem flow smoothly through the mind. Your words make people think and wonder. Your words give the sense of feeling and vision you projected. Well done.
Mankind has seen war since records began with the scribing of runes on rocks and tablets of clay. Until we can defeat ignorance, jealousy and bullying, there is only hope and prayers. The committees that run government are only as good as the least member of that committee. Most of those committee members are given their position through winning popularity contests called elections.

Comment from Dan-C
Your poem was very well written and your hope for world peace is a noble one. I too hope and pray for peace. As long as there are men and woman in charge there will be war, there always has been. Mankind can not by itself find the peace we so desperately need.
Thank you for sharing such a thought provoking poem.

And I am so thankful to live in America!
Your words are wonderful and your wish, admirable. I don't think it will ever happen, though, as there are so many countries where fighting is their way of life.
I am truly afraid of the influx of Muslims in this country. I don't like it, and I don't trust them. Sorry. I am off the track of your lovely, peaceful poem. I do wish it were true - that it would come to pass.
