This political 5-7-5, The Animal Farm, has the correct format and sends the allegorical tale back into reality with the do-nothing Congress made up of elitist Republicans and a can't shoot-straight Democrat potted plant party.

Yes, when elephants are brain dead and donkeys bray, a despotic Napoleon reigns. This is a fine, satirical political 5-7-5 that speaks for our times.

In terms of structure, the middle line is a bit confusing because I initially thought you meant the braying donkeys were despotic. But upon second thought I realized you meant "despotic Napoleon reigns." Your poem might be clearer if you used one subject and verb per line, and reduce the number of adjectives. Paint pictures using concrete imagery.

Nonetheless, you wrote an apt Political 5-7-5 for our times.

Questions assume I have read Animal Farm lately. I have not and assume most are the same. Seems limited to a very limited audience - maybe convey the lessons of animal farm? I suspect your view is quite sophisticated but it is not possible for others to see that.
