There is but one way to know for sure.
My adage of "Cast your vote for Jesus. Keep your eyes on Calvary" says all that needs to be said on that subject.
Do that an everything else will take care of itself.

I love your adage as far as it goes, but as I have tried to suggest before, stopping there is to disregard a huge amount of scripture. Time to engage, brother! God has a whole lot more to pour into your life. Eternal safety is promised to all who believe, but scripture encourages us to grow in grace to the glory of God and the good of others. Blessings await, God bless you, Dennis

Preach it, brother.
You chose excellent scripture passages to make your point. My favorite among them is 2 Corinthians.
I know you speak truth about people fearing they are not saved. I've seen it a lot.
If you could explain a bit about the scriptures posted, decipher them, as it were, you would have the makings of a longer spiritual piece. Some people who aren't familiar with these passages may not understand their importance.
Also, a little explication would be more likely to engage readers than a list od scripture passages alone.

Thank you for your comments. Longer pieces are always possible, but shorter ones are more often read. Each scripture is a seed and thus broadcasting in sowing yields the best results I believe. God bless, Dennis

I think you are doing a wonderful job of sharing the gospel of Jesus. It was well written, and shares a much-needed truth. Thank you for sharing that.

This is a fine, Bible based sermon or essay filled with many passages that make a point. Your opening line pulled the reader in to explore your essay. Thank you for sharing and caring.

An old preacher we once had spent a couple Sundays on this. I didn't really find I could relate to it then, or in this writing (I am not trying to be offensive--I promise).
I liked your words in the beginning.
But what does it mean that he will cut us off? That means remove and discard. I think it feeds into the worry, that we won't make the cut, as you mentioned was a worry in the beginning, I feel like this piece needs something to bring it all end at the end, a conclusion.
Thank you for sharing this, I know it will stick with me for a couple of days as something to ponder. Prayers and blessings to you.

Thank you for your honest comments. Since we are called to the safety of the cross and the power of Christ's atonement for our sin, there does remain the possibility of being "cut off" to those who will not heed or believe Christ's words. It would be a little silly to promise safety if there were no danger, would it not? God bless you, Dennis

Great lesson. Faith is what allows us to flip the light switch even though we don't understand electricity. Faith is what cause the farmer to plant his field.

Thank you...true faith comes by hearing the Word of God. It is not a leap in the dark, but a stepping in the light of Christ. God bless, Dennis

I think everyone at some stage in their life has had these doubts. Looking at the world today, how so many innocents are living a life that must easily compare with hell. Children starving, being beaten, so many evils around. We have to believe, if not, what was our purpose? Excellent writing my friend. :) Sandra xx
