An interesting object and a great poetry prompt.
The Octrain with refrain format is mastered well.
An informative and well crafted poem which draws one to
believe this may be true.
Clever you.

Thank you Shirley, you never know.

Thanks for sharing another Animated Still--I could see the rose and its stem, once you called my attention to them. I enjoyed the alternating rhymes in your Octaves and the repeats. Your comparison to a "laser" and the Ten Commandments is quite effective, along with the "rune" simile. More cheers- Joan

What a stunning photograph, and yea, the Rose is easily seen by me. I enjoyed the imagery of your poem and the flow of you poem sure makes it very enjoyable. Love the thought of a laser-welding Creator etching the stone/stones.
Smiles,
Karyn :-)

Our imagination often discerns shapes and patterns in nature that lead us into contemplation. It is, as you suggest, as if we see the hand of the Almighty at work making sketches for new creations. I imagine that your book of Animated Stills will be fascinating.

This is beautifully penned Treischel, and I do see the rose in the photo along with what looks like a rose bud and a leaf. Nicely do on all accounts. Blessings, Patricia

This is a beautiful poem and yes only the Master Artist can do this wonderful artwork. A rose is not easy to draw perfectly by humans. I have done engraving on tombstones before with sandblasting and know how hard it is to work on granite.

Yes, I can see it clearly, Tom. It's amazing when you think how many millions of years it has been there, untouched. We do have so many glorious things that only God could have created in this world, and we are so lucky to be able to come across these that have lasted the eons of time and still are beautiful to the eye. Your poem compliments it beautifully, my friend, I will watch out for your completed book. :) Sandra xx

Thank you very much Sandra. It may be a while for that one, I have two other books to write before that one, while I collect more example to include.

Hi Tom, this is a very impressive poem that shows off your wonderful writing skills to the ultimate, I can see the rose embedded or carved into that rock but your wonderful words bring it to life, the rhyming, rhythm and flow are all excellent my friend.

This is another great poem, my friend. A rose within a stone. I thought of a hardhearted person with a soft side to them. The black background was a nice touch. Thank you for sharing.

Difficult to see the rose, Tom. Difficult to see the rock. Neither of them are actually there. No picture is what I mean. Never mind I can still revciew the poem.
So I'ver used my imagination. I like the comparison with the ten commandments etched into the stone tablets and I can see this rose in my minds eye from reading the poem.
I wonder what happened to the picture.

Thank you Pantygynt. I didn't realize that it wasn't in preview mode. You must have grabbed it before I could add the image. It's there now.
Yes we missed all that good snow. A couple feet wouldn't hole us up a bit. In fact, we'd love it. We did have a cold snap. So cold, it completely froze over a large waterfall. I took photos of it yesterday, when it warmed up to 22F. I'll posts something with it soon.
