What a beautifully painful tribute to long term love. I'm not normally. outwardly emotional but my eyes welled up when I read and re-read.
Excellent

Such an interesting photo. Sixty years of marriage is almost unheard of nowadays. My parents made it to 58, and my mother lived another 20 years. Her lifestyle the same but also very different without her husband. Your poem rings true with the emotion expressed. --Elaine

This poem was difficult to read and probably to write as well. As I read it I looked to understand it, until your sudden ending. I then read it upside down and it was a lot better for me to digest. I cannot suggest that it would make better sense upside down, particularly after reading it first how you wrote it, but I do wonder if I wanted to have to get your tragic ending, like that. I am also so sorry!

Poignant message in such a short time. You have portrayed such an awful list in a few well chosen words. The picture complemented the verse without over-shadowing it - well done!

You painted a wonderful picture of your loss and sadness. I like the artwork as it sets the mood. There is a meaningful message conveyed throughout your poem. Overall I liked the presentation.

If this is true, I offer sympathy. How does one say "a lovely poem" for such a sad subject. I really don't know, do you? I do know that writing helps the memories fly and the heart cry.

Calm before the storm I'm feeling, Your visions in passive statements of what has, is and to be senerios, you end with that statement that is the truth of all this pain. Sorry for your loss and for your grieving on the now void that is in your daily life. Hold onto what and who ever can be there for the time you will need to be able to settle all that is running amuck within you now. How ever long this will take is not important, only that you know this is what has to occur and will in time. You have to skip over the bottom and not let it drag you in.

Ouch! That's good. Interestingly, you need to read the poem a second time, after knowing the conclusion, to really get it. You write some really good poetry.

Great job on the poem and I really loved the photograph you used with it. Death is always hard for those left behind. I'm not afraid of dying (whenever that may be) but I know my death will be hard on my husband and my family.
