Dear Tom - I feel the same way...watching a plane land on the lake here is always a mystifying and graceful experience. Those water planes just seem to glide all on their own. Loved this post, great images, nicely pulls me in to ponder each line. I enjoyed reading this one - well done.
Thanks for sharing.

I like the photo, message, and imagery. It is amazing that we can fly for fun and entertainment today. We all have amazing creative talents within us, and when we choose to use them, the people of the world benefit from our inventions. I love the image of freedom when soaring in the sky. Thanks

Hi, Treischel,
"Dreams of Flight" is an excellent poem with a unconventional visually pleasing patterned structure for which I guess we can thank GarthL. It has good rhyme and rhyme scheme consistently followed. It has good figurative language and imagery (silver clouded sky). I cannot say that I agree with the premise that our ancestors did not dream or imagine flight. While I guess mechanically assisted flight dreams may have only been around since the Renaissance the Ancient Greeks the guy who flew too close to the sun and the Persians had their flying carpets. I believe that man has dreamed of flight since he first realized it was possible by observing birds.

This is a very creative poetic structure which I like. As always you mastered it well with a very poignant poem about the miracle of the flight of these metalic dragons. Is that a fair way to look at them? Well done, Tom.

Treischel- "Dreams of flight" brought about an amazement of such for Johnnykid as well where "Our ancestors never imagined such things." A nicely penned work that flowed with connections of the stanzas throughout~ keeping to an interesting and everyday theme (for some)... capturing a wonder for this reviewer to appreciate the makings for an exceptional piece.
Recommendation- Today we soar In the clouds for joy It brings This approach of mine just might strengthen what you have written down already. Good luck and all the best to a poet who puts out and is treasured by those like myself that work towards ultimate goals such as publication.

I was about to criticize the poem when i spotted your notes. The description of this form, eleven77, strikes me as impossible re the last requirement unless all last words are the same rhyme.
I give up and just click a faiver.

Up until now, I had never heard of an Eleven77, so it's nice to be exposed to something new :)
I am impressed that you manage to convey so much, under the prescribed format of this poem. Despite these restrictions, your words are authentic and unforced.
Very well done.

The transportation industry is amazing. I am more amazed by trains than planes, but to park and watch planes fly and land is fun for everyone. Nice poem.
