There is nothing more jarring than road work. The noise can drive you crazy when you wake up to it. Sure makes you glad to get up and go to work. That is unless you repair roads. Fun read.

I could hear it all, a cacophony of sound, breaking my eardrums, since I wear hearing aids I had to take them off just reading this poem. good luck, :-) Carolyn

I really can hear the noise.
A road in my area was recently completed and those noices were right there.
Good work.
I wish you the best in the contest.

This sounds like enough to waken the dead or at least to make hangover sufferers bitterly regret the excesses of the previous night. You have managed to create commendable clamour in you discordant cacophony. Good luck. May your poem be heard above the noise of all others.
