This is good and the thought is even better. Never stop dancing. I gave you four stars hoping it might help concerning some things I have learned here on F.S. Separate your stanzas for a more easer read. Critics love poking corrections at you for not doing it but if it fits your thoughts who cares if you leave it the way you have it.

This poem captures a moment that I hope many grandparents have. I happen to have a photo of me with my newborn son (36 years ago). When my grandson was born my son, by coincidence, had a photo taken of himself with his son in the exact same position. I have the photos sitting side by side - remembering when...

I don't know, but something of the wisdom and love of this piece just touched me. You know to appreciate magic when you see it, love when you fell it - and that is no small thing. Well done.

So I'm guessing single mom, since there's no mention of dancing with the husband and father. This is a lovely poem, filled with the love of a grandmother. Very nice. :)

Actually no. I don't know of many husbands who will go babysit with their wives. If you have one, hold onto him! LOL Thanks for your comments.

This is lovely. I can just see your
daughter dancing with her baby in
the soft light of the moon and then you
join them.
Three generations dancing as you remember
your own baby. so sweet. I loved it.

The speaker has taken on her grandchild for baby sitting, while her daughter goes out dancing. As a result of the moment, the speaker decides to dance as well.

cheers,

The birth of a new baby is such a great influence on everybody. It's a reminder of why we're here. Your poem is full of life, and like how it spreads to you. The joy is overwhelming. Thanks for sharing. Les

This poem poignantly depicts three generations linked by love. I can easily see my own wife and daughter here.
I like how the "camera" records this scene in a non-stop manner as one line tumbles into the next. "This child's mother was that little girl of mine" speaks volumes. So easy to relate to this moment in time. RodG

This is a tender write giving tribute to generational universal appreciation and experience. How we still see the world anew in the eyes of our children not matter the age. :0 GracieAnn
