Great with this poem. The picture alone makes the reader feel the "spirit." During this season, people tend to be more happy, I wish we could keep this spirit throughout the year and remember the reason for the season. I like the words of the last stanza, "The heart of God was bleeding, twas love this world was needing."

I've gotten behind in my reviewing, but I wanted to say I really like this poem about Christmas, Beth. It paints a wonderful picture of the joys of Christmas in the past. It's too bad that those friendly feelings aren't so much on the streets anymore, and the love for each other has waned.

Thank you Judy. It does seem that Christmas was more fun back then than it is now, but hopefully we get that Christmas spirit again when we stop hearing so much negative news about virus and pandemics.

Thank you Carol, I thought I answered this but I see I didn't, It wasn't a great holiday for me either. It was good to be with family but I wasn't well. I had something like the virus but was testing negative. I'm still not fully recovered.

Excellent Christmas poem. I love the presentation and imagery. The rhymes do not seem forced. Your poem flows well. It draws on emotions and it presents strong images.

I live. Also, at my brother's house, his wife and three sons are down with Covid, bar him. They're all vaccinated but my brother is the only one with a booster. So their Christmas is cancelled. Sigh! They live in Mass. I do hope you and your family have a lovely Christmas. Ulla:)))

I sorry Christmas has changed so much for all of us. I trying to get over a terrible cold. I thought I had covid but tested negative. I like to stay home and rest today but my kids claim it isn't Christmas without me so I'll try to put on a good face. I am starting to feel better than all the past week.
