Hey!
You curve the path to your please. The reader has no clue what comes next. To be honest, sometimes nor the writer.
Wouldn't you say?
Cheers!

This all the truth until the last line but we won't argue about a moot point anyone ( but I will tell you that I did see the devil beating his head against the south wall of the First Christian Church on Main Street the other day, yelling, "I didn't do it!" ) LOL!

Love, loved, loving it! Your imagery, meter and rhyme are superb.

Very good imagery, excellent poem. I guess I would have submitted to tempatation more, just not enough opportunity. So little time, so few opportunities. Warm regards, Bill

keimosobie,
your poem is very well written about temptation. Beautiful art work and presentation. Great title 'The Devils Seed.' Your poem tells a story about temptation. Your rhymes are excellent. Cleaver use of metaphors such as smoldering embers, combust in to fire, darkness lies, ultimate desire, heart's contemplation, lies hidden with imagination, hopeless abandonment, and spawns the Devil's seed.' Your poem was thought provoking and a delightful read. Thanks for sharing your poetic art and have a nice day.
Melissa.

I think most of us have submitted to temptation of one kind or another, it is human nature, the degree of what tempts us may be different but that is all,
you did very well on this poem, I enjoyed it and the photo is perfect.

Temptation, lust, and desire...so hard to push away, yet we must to save our own souls.
The Devil's seed takes root deep if we allow it to enter our hearts.

Strong words in a powerful poem. "every heart's contemplation
lies hidden with imagination," and the last line is so true. Pain is the beginning of going off track. Love the photo. I think this is a great poem. Thanks for sharing!

Oouch...I know what you mean and I have certainly been tempted and its erotic and wrong all at once.
This was a great little write and well narrated throughout.
You convey the feeling well of what it is like to be tempted and break.
Experience is always the best teacher and also makes for a great poem.
This was no exception.
A pleasure to read and my fave lines:
"every heart's contemplation
lies hidden with imagination"
This is perfectly phrased and I soooooo couldn't agree more.
Well done and this was a fantastic write with an equally as good presentation.
Cheers closetpoetjester xo

Very powerful, very emotional.....
Filled with many life learned truths.....
Reminds me of the "not judging" others syndrome.....
Unless you've walked in their shoes.....
my favorite: not just from lust and greed, from pain spawns the devil's seed.... How inspired is that?

This is so true. I remember one of Larry Flynt's magazines had a picture on the back cover of a soldier with his head smashed in. The caption was "And you call our pictures pornographic!"

Yes, I still do; but violence is so played down as the devil's seed!
