Hi Roy,
I really liked this one. It shows the love of God and Jesus for us by how Jesus lived and died for us. It is a good overview of the Christian faith.
Good luck in the contest.
Keep writing and stay healthy
Have a great rest of the day.

Hi Roy, your poem is beautifully stated and thought-provoking too.
Of special note:
For hatred never solved a crime,
and never, ever will.
(Roy, so many people are filled with hate, and yet we are so often fooled 'cause they hide behind a smiling face.)
Also:
Lord Jesus took the lowest place
refused an earthly throne.
And died for us and for our sins
buck naked and alone.
(He gave the world His ultimate sacrifice--Himself.)
Perfect artwork choice. Thank you for your author's notes. Well done.

I love the team of the poem which you perfectly presented. True love is unconditional as exemplified by God's love for man. It involves sacrifices and does not count faults. Well done, dear Roy.

Unconditional Love is easy to talk about, but much harder to pull off. The mind, the ego, the stubbornness will foul up the best made intentions. Well written Roy, as always.

I was always taught that you won't know what love is until you know the love of God first. That makes logical sense since the father loved us first and unconditionally. Thank you for writing such a meaningful and beautiful poem.

This is a very thought-provoking poem. One that needs a lot of wisdom and praying about. Exactly where we are in with this type of love. Yes, God loves us unconditionally, but are we really willing to return that type of love.

Roy, This is another great poem full of so much truth. That scripture is a great one to be read when we do communion. Thank you for sharing that with us. May God bless you and your family always! Teri

It would be very hard for me to commit to something of that magnitude. I might give them a kidney but I'm pretty sure dying for someone other than my children or grandchildren is not happening. This was quite thought provoking. Gretchen

Beautifully written, Roy, with a message we all need to read and think about. I know I love with every fiber of my being, but I had to ask myself, would I be willing to die? I hesitated because I thought so, but-- Then I remembered when my son was missing, and I was praying hysterically, I asked the Lord to take me and bring Mikey back safely. So, I guess, as a mother, my love was real. Of course, it was not to be because the Lord had other plans. Thank you for writing this poem this morning and reminding me.
Smiles and hugs, Carol

I'm not sure which is better, the poem or the writer's notes. Both tell a story about the author. Can't talk much about him. Simply superb. I can't come up with any better words.
