What a wonderful description of a satisfying bath after a long hard day at work. There is nothing like a warm sudsy bath in sweet smelling bubble to make life feel like living again.

I must admit I had some skin problems, which seemed to have cleared up now, but for awhile I forsook the convenience of a shower and soaked in a tub with Epsom salts for company, it was divine, beautifully written my friend, blessings Roy

A long hot bubble bath does cure many things. LOL I've done this before myself. It's hard to do with young children at home. It works better when they're older and know when mom comes home from work and heads straight to the bathroom to leave her alone. I had fun reading this. Thank you.

Wow, that is one seriously restorative bath! And although you made it sound absolutely fabulous, my overriding thought was, "What is this poor woman's job??!!" My Little Voices tells me you need something way better. I come home from work so happy from my day. It honestly never feels like work to me - just joy. I want that for YOU, too!! Xo

Fortunately, I am now retired and don't have to drag home after a long day. I have worked in a busy hospital in my time which can be exhausting; I've also worked 2 jobs when times were tough and I needed money~and I've taught pre-school where little ones can run you ragged, and done before/after school programs with long hours of prep time. I have loved my teaching jobs, but they can take lots of energy and wear you out. But now I'm a lady of leisure (minus the cleaning & cooking & laundry, etc.) and if I want a bath nowadays, I'd need a walk-in tub with a seat. Thanks so much for your review, I appreciate it!

Well, I am feeling all KINDS of better!! And it sounds like so are you, now that you're a "woman of leisure..." hahaha. It's like that meme that's been circulating lately: Eight hours at an office job is hard, staying home cooking and cleaning and doing is errands is hard. Choose your hard.

How long for the days when I can actually get into to a tub and get out of the tub but it's not possible for me anymore and I am having to just take showers. I wish you the very best with all of your writing and may you have a wonderful weekend. Patricia.

Thanks so much, Patricia! I am afraid my bath tub days are over, too, and now I want to get one of those walk-in tubs with a seat so I can still enjoy a good soak. Enjoy your weekend!

I enjoy the feeling of exhaustion, then taking a hot bath and having a good night's sleep. It is refreshing and comforting. You reminded me how good it is to nurture ourselves here, love Dolly x x x

I loved your similes and metaphors in this! Although I'm more a shower person and don't like the "limp banana" feeling that a hot bath gives me, I could see the benefits of such renewing bath! I especially liked the "sloughed snakeskin of living."

It is amazing how life sucks the essence right out of you. Traffic, work, school, and dealing with people! What a wonderfully written poem. Best of luck with your writing! Have a great day, and God bless.
