This is epic. I like the pairing of the image and the poem, even down to the choice of font for the poem it is great. Great work! I feel like this can be apart of a larger story written in poem verse as well.

good entry to the contest. I will have a lot of competition. I like the image you chose to fit the poem's theme of revelations and the end times coming soon if you believe in all of that, which I do not.

Your poem has great tone, and followed the rules. It made me think and scared me thinking about the revelation. I enjoyed your poem, but I hate being scared. The picture made your words more intense.

the poem met the structure and the specifications of the 1-6-1 contest entry. Angels with wings took off as fear took hold. Thanks for sharing your reflections, and good luck in the contest.

I enjoyed reading your 1-6-1 rhyme. I know it can't be as easy as it looks, but I want to try it sometime. Well done on a gorgeous presentation and good luck in the contest.

An excellent entry for the Rhyme That 1-6-1 writing prompt. There will be a day, possibly some day soon, when in the blink of an eye all who believe will taken up to Glory. Thanks for sharing.

Oh wow, mystery writer, this 1-6-1 poem really hits you where it hurts!! If you are a demon, that is!!
I love the imagery and reminder of what happens in the end to the dread givers. Raise those wings, Angels!! Send them packing.

Best of luck in the contest,
Rhonda

Dread is an excellent word to describe what will befall the unbelievers when Christ returns.
Biblical angels aren't mentioned as having wings (except the cherubim and seraphim who attend the throne) but they sure do give an impression of overwhelming majesty and power.
A great entry for the prompt!
Julie
