I sometimes hear the choir in my local Cathedral and their voices echo throughout the halls of the church and bring such peace and tranquility, this is what your poem did for me here, a joy to read, love Dolly x x x

What a delightful poem! For me the image of "honeyed fairy strains" combined with the sound of the whip-poor-will creates such a magical atmosphere! Your choice of words flows beautifully. Keep writing! Your poetry is a joy to read!

Love the setting behind the words, I find myself dancing within the waters to reach for feathered wings. May you fly with the wind behind you to find heavens shores. best wishes shadrach

Although I'm not too big on the Haiku poem format. This one is good enough to make a believer out of me. The picture didn't hurt either, it did well in enhancing the points. Thanks for sharing and good luck.

If you are not a fan of the 5-7-5 (this is not a haiku contest, but simply a 5-7-5), one is drawn to ask: why then do you review them? I do so very much appreciate your overwhelmingly positive comments although they, paired with but four stars, is a bit confusing to me... 'four' means there could be improvement, yet you suggest no points for improving the piece...

Oh, oh. My bad. As to the why, I don't think it's enough to just "not understand, or like something and leave it there, but rather to venture in and try to discover. Doing so at your expense was not cool, I didn't see it at the time and for that, I'm profoundly sorry. I thought four stars was good ratings, especially when lowest and highest are likely to be tossed out. I hope to make it up to you over time, deal?

Every word woven together to create this poem is stunning. I kept reading it over and over again because it sounded perfect when I read it out loud. I like your use of alliteration as well.
