This two-line poem, Weeping Willow, has the proper formatting and reminds the readers that the imaginary raining from the tree is no match for the weather coming in from the ocean storms.

Thank you for sharing this contest entry with us. I am wondering why this weeping willow is in tears and what does it have to be fearful of? Well, it is part of its name, but still. This is an excellent contest entry. Good luck with the contest.

The "weeping willow" is a tree that gets its name from the appearance of raindrops running down its long leaves, making it look like the tree is crying. This has made the weeping willow a symbol of grief and mourning in many cultures.

The weeping willow is native to the west coast of North America from Alaska to northern California, where it grows in "coastal habitat such as beaches and cliffs over the sea.

Sea rolls billow of fears is a poetic personification of the sea waves.

A beautifully rhymed and somber offering for the contest here, Gypsy -- creates both a mood and an image even without your well-crafted presentation! Thanx for sharing and best of luck in the contest! ;) Yvette

Great job with your Essence poem with the interesting rhyme of willow with billow. And I didn't think of billow as a noun before but I can see those willow leaves billowing. It's interesting to think about those two emotions of grieving and fearing.
Hope this does well in the contest!

Thank you, big sister, I doubt I will win, rhyme is not my forte but I want to push myself out of my comfort zone.

This was a poem that gave life to the weeping willow. The leaves falling as tears fall. Fear of dying from drought or disease. Fear of the chainsaw. This was very cool. I enjoyed this. Gretchen

You did a great job with the internal and ending lines. It looks like you are as good at rhyming poetry as you are with the other types. Thank you for sharing, and best wishes to you.

A vivid image here of a weeping willow conveying sadness, then further reinforced with an outpouring of fears. As ever, Gypsy, beautifully presented to enhance the verse to its full potential. Take care Debbie
