I smiled as I read. I can see the friendship develop. Woodpeckers can be annoying after a while. The presentation is wonderful as is the poem. He is a cute little woodpecker though.

This one made me think and smile. It reminded me of the time I visited an aunt in a nursing home. The lady across the hall was sitting on the side of her bed and calling out loudly for a taxi. I asked my aunt why the lady's roommate didn't tell her to shut up. She replied, " Her roommate is stone cold deaf." There is a perfect match if you look hard enough. Great poem. Gretchen

This is so endearing on several levels. It shows that when we don't focus on the faults of others we build a bridge of friendship, we allow ourselves to see the goddess and the beauty beyond the perceived or real shortcomings of others. It also gives us the opportunity to grasp a humbling opportunity.

That's a good relationship! The noise of the woodpecker doesn't bother the deaf girl. Maybe the woodpecker also feels a kinship to the girl who doesn't make a lot of noise herself.

The woodpecker is a very pretty little bird, but it surely can be noisy so it is important that people who live in the area where there are woodpeckers have a bit of a hearing problem. Patricia.
