Fascinating, Douglas. You have created a little crime team. I simply love it and and I love them. Now the question is, will they be able to solve this crime? I think they stand a chance. Ulla:)

A fun and evidence gathering chapter for the book. I love how the ladies ate the brownies without any qualms. Girls and chocolate, there's no age limits. The earring proved to be a valuable clue. Maybe Mr. Howell was having an affair or maybe it was the murderer, fallen during the struggle.

One small improvement for your fine chapter.

Hattie noted that there was at least twenty feet distance from the davenport to the stripped bed There were two chairs....

Marvelous addition to the book.
Sending you my best today as always.

Did the murderer lose an earring?? Or did Mr. Howell have an affair? LOl I couldn't help myself. I am really enjoying reading this. It's a mystery with humor.

Nelly returned with four of the brownies (so funny!!!!!)

You have made these ladies come alive. That's really good writing. Do know some people like this??

Thank you, Sir! I tried to make it more about the ladies than the murder!

Thank Goodness Hattie's in charge, the rest of the skeletal band is a disaster! I knew those brownies wouldn't go untouched. And just as the visit seemed to be reaping no rewards, the earring clue, brilliant! As ever I love the dialogue and lavatorial humour. And how vividly you portray this wonderful little group of 'investigators!' Well done, Doug, on this very entertaining story which I'm enjoying. Debbie

A-ha! The detective needle wavers, side to side, with the girls giggling, and then stops! No clues to be found! But wait! It's moving again, and Hattie has an earring. Could it be a clue? Did the murderer drop it? But why was it unseen when everything else has been cleared? So many questions, and now the reader sits on the edge of the chair, waiting for answers. Hurry up, Doug!

A humorous chapter, with the oldies grabbing the sweets, and their comments about all that they observed, but it seems their quest for clues was not in vain. Why would an earring have been left, and how had it not been noticed before by those who cleared out his room? We'll see. Well written.

You discovered the real clue (about the clue). Don't go figuring out my story before I finish! HA!
