You have twist in middle instead of the end. Creative. Thank you for sharing this contest entry with us. I enjoyed reading and what to wish you luck with the contest.

Wow, what a twist! I love how you tied everything together so neatly. I was caught by the surprising turn when my mind was still on what the guy wanted to do!

Goodness, a full horror story in 75 words. Super repetition of THAT line. How quickly the tables were turned, and the initial apprehension was replaced by a worse reality. Best wishes for your excellent entry.

What a tragic irony, with a little tongue-in-cheek humor and clearly a gallows chuckle. I like how you twist it around so the reader barely knows what's going on. Well done

Good Grief! That was a surprise!
You are an accomplished writer, probably published, I would guess.
That repeated phrase at beginning and end is perfect.
I will have to say that your enjoyment in writing horror stories, then mentioning that theology plays a part in how you craft your characters was a bit mystifying.:)

It's sort of like "Never judge a book by it's cover" or maybe "Turnabout is fair play. Which ever, it was a terrific flash fiction and I wish you luck in the contest.

Thank you so much! I've always loved reading about twists in stories. It's fun to write them.

True flash fiction includes a surprising ending, and leaves the reader with lingering after thoughts. This is true flash fiction. The third sentence of the introductory statement and the final sentence pair perfectly. Well done. Best wishes in the contest.

This seventy-five word flash fiction story, So Much Better, has the proper word count and finds the worm has turned in the alleyway and the worm is now a throatless pile beneath the maneater.

Ohhhhhh dear!! You have brought flash fiction to a new horizon, for sure, with this one. Guess that date wasn't nearly as drunk as he'd imagined! And, hey! What's sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander, right? If he likes 'em to scream, why shouldn't she?
Very memorable read, and I bet we'll be seeing this one in the Winner's Circle of the 75 Words Flash Fiction contest! Good luck. xo

This was a great piece of seventy-five word flash fiction! I love how you began and ended with the same thought flipped on its head. Thank you for sharing, and best wishes to you.
