There were four daughters in our family. We each carried a jar. That's what the old miracle whip and mayonnaise jars were for! I always had a bladder the size of a thimble. Nice story. Karen

Thanks Karen. I am sure many people have pee stories from our childhood. Grandpa had to teach both our granddaughter and grandson how to "make do" when no bathrooms are available. Ben learned outside Dornbecker's hospital while Morgan was in the intensive care. No time to retrace steps up inside the massive building from parking....sure is easier for boys. Esther.

Hello Esther,
I loved the story, but I was saddened to see that you lost your granddaughter at such an untimely age. How very tragic. I'm so sorry for your loss. Thanks for sharing this.
Blessings,
Tom

I am starting a series of short memories of Morgan's short time with us. Missing My Munchin was my first. I am hoping to put them with pictures and give it to her brothers. Esther

You made me smile with this one as this little girls answers the call of nature and learns to pee outside for the first time! Enjoying the outdoors sometimes means there is a little inconvenience, a fun post Esther, love Dolly x

First, I'm so sorry for your loss. This was a fun and spirited short about nature calling and how she figured it all out. I told my grandson to go pee behind the sand dunes once when we were at the beach. Little did I know, he walked all the way to the edge of the road, over the sand dunes. He dropped his bathing suit and waved at the cars that passed by. Every day is a learning experience. Gretchen

Too funny. Hubby was a logger so no stranger to woodsy bathrooms. Once, however, in AZ he had to poop. Cactus are not very concealing trees. All you can do is wave....

Grandpa played many roles in a little girl's life and I am sure there are memories galore to think back on. It's a cute story and thank you for sharing.

This was a wonderful little story, and I am so sorry she passed away so young, so not right or fair, the idea of the stories is special and sentimental.

I think Ben will enjoy them. He was 3 when Morgan died.

She might as well learn where the bathroom is at a young age: ""It is over there behind the tree." "Munchkin figures it out, and all is well." This makes me wonder how I learned, how my friend learned. How am I mother taught us. My brother had a tool he could bring with him on a picnic.

so right. I was in a traffic jam and couldn't step onto the road because of the slant of the bank didn't really allow me to get out of the car to pee so I had to use a cup. No I guess they actually have some kind of a big cup for a woman to pee into i haven't thought of getting one

I'm so sad to hear that little Morgan died at age 7! She's a smart girl to figure out that Grandpa meant to water the tree instead of finding a flushing toilet!
