That is very strong of you to share. I feel inspired sometimes by this type of sharing. I'm very private and don't really open up. Through writing I do think it's possible to find healing. I hope you have that.

This brought tears to my eyes. So sorry for your loss. What a sad sad poem. Please be kind to yourself, life has its twists and turns and unfortunately even with family we can fall out and it can be difficult to forgive and we can be stubborn. You must of countless wonderful memories with her that you cherish and keep those to the front of your mind, rather than the sad time.

In 2022 I flew to a neighboring state close to both sisters, and asked them to meet me. We had a beautiful reunion. Last year one of my sisters passed away. I thank God for the trip I took. You never know what the future holds.

That's a heartbreaking story. This should have been in the True Flash Fiction story as that one had a bit more word length. I remember your regrets about your sister. And how heartbreaking for your mom, too.

My mum luckily doesn't know, maybe that's the only silver lining of her dementia. I decided not to tell her. I thought it made no sense. Thanks for your review. x

I'm sorry things didn't resolve between you, but it had to be meaningful to have talked to her when you called. I am sorry for your loss. It is hard to express feelings about times like these, but I imagine it brought some comfort to your sister that you called her.
You have a good entry, but I would make a new paragraph with We used to speak... It puts more emphasis on the opening lines. Good luck in the contest.

If you use a computer and want to single space next time, let me know. You should be able to just use the space bar. If you think it won't work, it's not a big deal.

The other day I had problems with a poem, though. I don't really know why.

I had divided my poem into verses, but when I copied it into FS it appeared as just one big chunk.
