Yikes. That is a very sad poem. A ring lost to the sewer...Can see it happening.
The only thing worse is having it given back. Or thrown away in front of you.

What a tragedy! This is a great poem for the contest. It's definitely losing something important. I like that you leave it open for what might happen next. Thank you for sharing!
