What a grim story. It sounds very vivid, though, as if it could have happened. The spectacle of the passengers running into traffic, etc. is scary. This is great as a horror story. Gail seems unaware of what has happened. Maybe she's too absorbed in her own complaints. Really sounds like a disaster story. Good luck in the contest. judi

spelling error -- "lerched" should be "lurched"
Well, that was horrific -- I hope it was a dream someone had. (Lol) Best of luck in the contest with this most unusual and highly imaginative story.

Thank you for sharing this contest entry with us. I will never look at a bus ride the same again. I enjoyed reading and want to wish you luck with the contest.
as she sat with a plop next to a woman, who hurriedly scooted to avoid having the new person in her lap. (plop beside a woman)

Got it. Thank you.

Bill, you got a good one here. I was not sure where you were going. I knew the subtitle said horror story, but with your creative mind, that could mean a lot of different things. The conversation with 'director' was a nicely done touch and detail. Terry.

That met the rquirements for a horror story. She may have been better off missing the bus! Written with imagination. Sending best wishes for your entry in the contest.

And I thought this was a Marilyn Monroe movie! This was the best bus wreck story since that day in 1957 when The Deadly Mantis demolished a bus after the woman got out. A great entry for the Horror Writing contest!

They don't make bus crash stories like they used to.

Over the years I had some issues with busses. Once transit trains became available, I was finished with travelling by bus. This frightening tale has quickly convinced me that this bus is one worthy of missing. Sometimes missing a bus can be a blessing rather than being a bother.

Didn't see that coming at all. You clever clogs. Very, very good. Sorry, no sixes left, or I would have given you one. We are in competition, you know. I wish you well anyway. Karen :-)

I guess the ghost bus didn't want to leave its last passanger behind even though crossing the river wasn't part of her route. This is cool story for the horror contest.
