Now how the neck did I miss this one? Guess I knew I'd want to read it when it's hotter than a half cooked turkey in a forest fire outside!
Happy 26th review!

This is a fun poem to write and a contest to enter. I have written one before, too. I love the internal rhyming and you did a great job for it. I think snow is finally gone next week. I went skiing the last time yesterday.
Well done.

Yikes! Your endless winters... we had maybe, maybe a half-inch here in my part of NJ. I would've taken one of your snowfalls. I like snow (not to your extent thought).
Well crafted poem Debi.
Best of luck in the contest.
(You bested me in the Guilty Pleasure contest, congrats on that!! Well deserved!)

Hush my child. Embrace the delight you feel now. Store away the memory of to day, it may help you deal with the burning sun that will soon be coming your way.

You must definitely be hoarding the snow. Around here (Pennsylvania), the meteorologists are calling it 'the winter that wasn't'. Only a handful of inches of snow, and our February was the warmest on record. Though I can't say I'm complaining. Thanks for sharing, and best wishes in the contest.

Thank you so much for your kind review and words for this poem about our seemingly endless winters. It really could be worst. Lol

This was a humorous, very well done essence poem, meeting all the requirements for the contest. It's a good question. Why can't nature be a little fairer in distribution, although we seldom quibble when there's too much sun and clear skies. I enjoyed this.

This is a good entry for the essence poem contest.
The internal rhymes work well - me/we - to the end rhyme of know/snow.
I have to travel afar to see such white landscapes so when I do I hoard in the view :-) Best of luck in the competition.

It seems to me that these few words are applicable to more than snow. We don't understand the ways of nature, nor His ways, and sometimes troubles and grief, like snow, seem to mount up, untl they become huge burdens. But He can offer strength and comfort to cope. Well done. Best wishes for your poem.

Oh, my Lord, why would anyone want to hoard snow? God, explain to me why they would commit such a craving for snow? It is finally getting warmer here this week. And thank God, we will have green grass again for a while.

yup, it could have been like California where people died from the unexpected snow.

LOL, you do have a fun way of looking at the abundance of snow. And your prayer is asking a good question. Don't be surprised if the answer is, "You folks are hearty. Why else would you live there? You know you could move to Texas!"
An excellent entry for this writing prompt. Terry.
