I can hardly believe tears almost welled in my eyes as your poem reminded me of a daughter I lost due to miscarriage over 50 years ago. That should tell you your poem is heartfelt and meaningful. I like that in the final stanza, you tell your miscarried grand-babies that you still love them. Best wishes in the contest.

Thank you so much. I am so sorry for your loss, and yet, such little ones are in heaven, and although loved and missed, one day we will know them.

How very sad. Three miscarriages is three too many. And it must have been so hard if your children had started telling people... I think you're all very brave, and I look forwards to the day you meet your grandchildren. Kate xx

Thank you very much Kate for your very understanding review.
The second one had reached three months so the news was joyfully shared (after the previous loss) but she then lost the baby within a couple of days. The other two were miscarried a little earlier. Two losses for one daughter (she now has three children, happily) and one loss for the other (she now has a toddler, several years later). Thank you again.

Hi Wendy - This touched me very much. I am not a believer at all, but its so well written. It moved me. Your choice of images fits very well with the story. As I was reading, I referred back to it. It increased the meaning of the piece. Take care

Sad devotional! We also lost three babies from miscarriages and premature birth. The losses left a hole that cannot ever be filled, but we harbor the thought that we will all be reunited one day, in heaven.
Good work,
irish

That is very sad too, and thank you for your understanding. Even though we don?t know them yet, they are still loved. I appreciate your review a lot.

This is a well-written poem about your three grandchildren in heaven. I am so sorry for the miscarriages from your daughter or daughter-in-law. That is such a tragic experience to be repeated three times. Your text is a great size, and the meaning is clearly presented. The visual fits perfectly and touches my mother heart. Good luck in the contest. You have a good entry.

This poem, You're My Nan!, presented with four AABB-rhymed quatrains, is a heartfelt and heart-breaking poem voiced by both those souls lost before birth and the Nan who looks forward to meeting them by and by. Nice.

Oh this is such a sad and beautiful poem, it brought tears to my eyes. I'm so sorry for your loss.
The photo of the empty cot speaks a thousand words.
Your rhyming is excellent, the words are heart wrenching, and the last verse, your response, brought it all together so beautifully.
