Oh, that "one planet out" is Mars? And look at all the fuss about colonizing it. Enjoyed your very clear warning from God with good Scriptural examples. I especially liked:
"They'd be OK if they'd not mix
Religion with their politics."
Congratulations on the win, Paul!!

Thanks, Helen. I don't know if He will let us "recolonize" Mars.

Congratulations on winning the contest for writing a poem about God. Your poem demonstrates your knowledge of Christian beliefs and cleverly adds dialogue between you and God. Your poem builds to the final message that leaves us all with food for thought. Well done.

Congratulations on your win Paul and you certainly informed us all about God here. Religion has been he subject of may wars in the past and I hope we can live in harmony in the future as being kind to each other is God-like. Much enjoyed, love Dolly x

Thanks for the note, Dolly. There will be no harmony until we rid ourselves of the politicians.

OMG! This one certainly deserves a six and that's no exaggeration. My regrets that I don't have any.
In whichever way you look at this it has a very high creative content, and a beautiful, beautiful message.
Best wishes and regards.
God bless.

Hi Paul, first of all, congratulations on your win with this very well written poem. I really enjoyed reading it.
Now, I'm not religious, but if there was a God, he or she would feel exactly as described. The human race is nothing to be proud of as it stands. Ulla:)))

Thanks, Ulla. I don't know if you would classify me as religious. I claim to be a spiritualist. I have had experiences that have convinced me that there is a spirit world on the other side. There are so many religions in this world that I believe that not one of them has the answer. I do think religions are good to have around. They usually form the base for the laws of society.

I can agree with you up to a point, but when people kill other people because they don't conform with their believes, then I know there can't be a higher entity. If it was so, then those pointless killings would never be allowed. That's just my view, of course
-
There may very well not be a higher entity in the spirit world. The spirit world may just be the next rung on the evolutionary ladder.
-
Ah, I see what you're saying. That does make sense to me.

Wow! This is a powerful poem, and I wouldn't be surprised if it isn't how God feels about us now. My belief is that He will step in when the time is right, and in the meantime, all we can do is pray.

When I go to church, I do not go for politics but to renew my faith, listen to the word of God. There seems to be too many political issues in church. In the United States, each individual has certain fundamental freedoms -- including freedom of religion. These can't be taken away, even by "majority rule.".

Thanks for the review, Rosemary. You are right. There is too much politics in church today.
Comment from Anne Johnston
Your poem is well written, good rhyming, and a good picture of our world today. We know from the Word of God, that the Lord will only put up with the wickedness of this world for a time, and that He will once again pour out judgment. I am so thankful that He has made a way we can escape that by accepting Jesus and serving Him.

A sober and clear warning to a fallen world - just what we need to here. It's time to return to God and renew our trust and faith in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The hour is late!
