I'm laughing at a sonnet written about menopause - I wonder what the Bard would have to say about that. Anyway, it gives a lot of technical details about one woman's experience. I think it's all different for all of us. I started jogging about that time and didn't have many symptoms.
As for the sonnet form, not all your lines are ten syllables nor are they always iambic. The first line could be easily remedied by adding "my" in front.

Well, Aiona, it just goes to show you that a good poet can write a sonnet about anything, even menopause. Kids just don't seem to want to listen to their parents do they? Good luck with the contest.
