Daisy wishes

by judester

He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not Contest Winner
She scatters daisies recklessly,
whispers fervent prayers.
Does he love her, does he not?
As petals rise in layers.

She grabs another handful
of those lying little flowers.
Yes, he loves me, can't you see?
Petals rain down like showers.

He laughs and takes her by the hand,
pulls her from the pile.
What she seeks, shines in those eyes
and in his loving smile.
