The start of something wonderful
My Love
Her words came to me across oceans far
Landing on the computer screen
Attracting my attention
The likes I hadn't seen
They weren't of any quality
No outstanding spark
Yet, something drew me to them
As I read in the half dark
Perhaps it was simplicity
Or straightforwardness she wrote
But we were there for hours
Captivation invoke
I had one thing on my mind
When I stopped, head in a whirl
I knew, with all finality
I had to meet this girl
It took a little while
There were mountains to be crossed
We kept that vision in our sights
Without it, we'd be lost
Talked at every opportunity
On any available device
Building our relationship
(Which sometimes wasn't nice)
Finally when eyes did meet
Across the airport floor
I knew I'd finally found her
The woman I adore
Move on twelve months
Under starry sky
Moon shining above
I got down on bended knee
And proposed to
My Love
