Days Poem

Table for One

by michaelcahill

There's always lack of sense involved, it's true,
but beauty clouds my brain; I must have you.
I'll bide my time.

Still, time is not a friend when I'm alone;
I dream all night of how you'll scream and moan--
sweet love sublime.

To hell with courtesy and courtly bows;
my call is to desire, our fire endows,
embrace lust's crime.

Perhaps, I should've let you know my scheme;
it seems this song was but my solo dream ...
no beat, no rhyme.

Thus: aaB ccB ddB eeB and so on. The number of stanzas is optional, but at least two.
