A chapter in the book Poetry NOOK
Wonders of Nature
How divine is our living world
Free extraordinary sensory delights
God's artists share the natural wealth
For those who cannot go themselves
Nature offers a plethora of delight
In land, sea, sky and celestial scenes
Nature mirrors our living ways
If we don't care for it, it will wither
All living things need water food and air
There is an perpetual cycle and exchange
Night for day, oxygen for carbon dioxide
Sickness for health, sun for the moon
I wonder at the marvel of nature
But some people have to live vicariously
Enter the artists, the photographers
The potters, painters, writers, actors
Which all share and depict nature's gifts
Supplied for us to enjoy the physical world
Microscopic life which helps or hinders
Ocean life which feeds us, yet vast
And yet to be fully explored
Lush forests which become homes
Brightly colored birds which sing
The sky, it's celestial moon, and stars
Part of God's nature's wonders are
Supplies for all we need
If only we respect it, don't spoil
The balance at every turn
The world of supply and beauty
Will last longer for us all
